(Marquette, MI) – A Marquette Police officer seemed bemused when a large pickup truck bumped his patrol car twice early Saturday morning at the Marquette McDonald’s.
The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, April 28, 2018 – as both the cops and the suspect were in line at the drive thru to get their fast food meal.

“We’re gonna be in the McDonald’s Drive Thru … they ran into the back of our car twice,” the Marquette Police officer radioed to dispatchers at Marquette County 911 Central Dispatch.

Jerry Boyer

Using a police code, the officer also stated he suspected they were struck twice by a dunk driver.
“OK, clear,” answered the dispatcher with a chuckle.

Likely cops across the area were laughing when they heard the unexpected incident.

Arrested was 22-year-old Jerry Nelson Boyer of Skandia, MI.

He was given a portable breath test but the results are not known.

Boyer was driving a black ford pickup truck – that got towed.

Boyer was suspected of drunken driving and no insurance. However the exact charges were never posted on Mobile Patrol.

He was released on bond.

The boss at police headquarters asked the officer over the radio about damage to his patrol car.

“A little scratch on the bumper, but nothing crazy,” the officer radioed Marquette Police Headquarters

(Hancock, MI) – There will be shock tonight across the Copper Country as word spreads of the arrest today of outgoing Finlandia University Football Coach Bob Boss – who was arrested and booked into the Marquette County Jail.
Boss has since been released on bond.

The Finlandia University Football Program has been immersed in controversy over the past few years as allegations of cronyism and racism have followed it existence that has been less than spectacular on the field – although they have built a relatively new stadium.

34-year-old Robert Lawrence Boss was arrested in Marquette County today in connection with an alleged terrible domestic violence incident.

U.P. Breaking News was tipped off about this domestic violence incident – but was asked to hold this story until he was in custody. Kudos to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department for finally announcing the arrest.

Recently Marquette County joined other U.P. counties in a news black out on Mobile Patrol – that helped people  know when abusers were arrested. U.P. Breaking News has also criticized all U.P. law enforcement for hiding the arrests of prominent people – and most recent hiding the arrests of DV suspects.

The program just announced a new football coach – but failed to tell the public or media about why Boss was being fired.

U.P. Breaking News is working on several domestic violence related stories today including one that led to a meth bust in Sands Township – and a Gwinn man who is wanted for allegedly using a knife to threaten a female during a domestic situation.

Alleged tire slashing, knife throwing incident in Escanaba results in arrest Tuesday of female teen; and Oshkosh, WI officials won’t extradite a man wanted for aggravated assault/domestic violence – as he hides out on both sides of border and was questioned today in Gogebic County

URGENT URGENT U.P. Breaking News Bulletin – 4-17-18 –3:57 p.m. ET  2:57 p.m. CT –

Knife throwing, tire slashing probe in Escanaba leads to domestic violence charge against a Gladstone, MI woman; meanwhile man wanted for aggravated assault/domestic violence in Wisconsin hides out in western U.P. – and was questioned but not booked in Gogebic County today since Oshkosh officials do not want him that badly – another case of good riddance, someone else’s problem.

(Escanaba, MI) – A Delta County woman has been released on bond after her arrest for domestic violence today for allegedly slashing vehicle tires and throwing a knife, while in Gogebic County officers had to kick loose a Superior, WI man despite an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault and domestic violence by Oshkosh, WI officials – who do not seem to want him very badly.

Kassidy Seidl

Kassidy Jade Seidl

Police in Escanaba, MI were dispatched to an incident with a knife reported at a mobile home park located at 1401 N. 23rd Street, Lot 63 about just before 1 p.m. ET this afternoon, April 17, 2018.

18-year-old Kassidy Jade Seidle of Gladstone was charged with domestic violence/assault.

“The caller states that a Kassidy Seidle just slashed the tires on his friend’s car, the dispatcher told responding officers. “Apparently she slashed his tires with a knife and she (allegedly) threw it at him.”

The knife is “somewhere still on the property, but she doesn’t have it in hand,” the Delta County 911 Dispatcher told police headed to the mobile home. Its is not clear what instigated the alleged tire slashing.

Meanwhile in the western U.P., if they don’t want you bad – then you are safe even if warrants have been issued accusing you of a violent crime.

Aspinwall43-year-old Troy Michael Aspinwall of Superior, WI was questioned late this morning by police in Gogebic County and released – because his aggravated assault and domestic violence warrant was a “non-extraditable warrant” issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections in Oshkosh, WI.

Another classic case of hiding out on two sides of the border including the western U.P. – while just out of reach of Oshkosh officials – who seem not to really want him back despite listinng him online in a wanted document with his photo.

Its unclear how officers in Gogebic County came upon the man.

The man has former residences listed in Wakefield, Ramsay, and Bessemer in Michigan; plus Castle Rock, CO.

The Gogebic County 911 dispatcher told off Unit Adam 26 that that the crime computer showed a warning for “violent tenancies” due to the aggravated assault and domestic violence charges.
His driver’s license was revoked in Wisconsin.

The man has four prior convictions for operating a motor vehicle while impaired (OWI).

Busted today: Menominee Police return to same residence on domestic violence call, make arrest this time, and are a couple we featured in our story on people with outstanding warrants around the country hiding in the U.P.

URGENT U.P. Breaking News Bulletin – 4-14-18 – 9:55 p.m. ET

(Menominee, MI) – We have an update tonight on one of the men we mentioned in our “armed and dangerous” and “hiding in the U.P.” story about people wanted in other states that are glad the wanted person is in Michigan

One of our examples is jailed tonight in Menominee County, MI.

There was another domestic violence report and arrest this morning Sat., April 14, 2018 at that same home in Menominee, MI as yesterday.

Today Menominee Police answered yet another domestic dispute call at 1517 46th Avenue – and one half of the dispute went to jail this time.

In our article on people living in the U.P. with warrants from other states – we told you about the occupants of the home 53-year-old Joseph Roy Feltus and his 40-year-old wife, Laura Susan Feltus.
It is unclear what Feltus allegedly did to his wife today, however a dispatcher told responding officers that she allegedly bit him.

Feltus was one of several examples we gave in a story yesterday (Friday) about people living in the U.P. who have serious warrants in other states – but many states do not extradite from the U.P.

In fact, many warrants issued by U.P. counties only have a pickup radius of surrounding counties – its about law enforcement under-staffing, few officers actually on the road daily, and costs of driving – for example of sending Houghton officer to Mackinac County (and roundtrip back to home jail with prisoner) etc.

The Friday NCIC check revealed Feltus has a computer warning from Colorado authorities with an “officer safety caution” and declaring the Feltus is considered “armed and dangerous” out west.

Joe Feltus was arrested today, Saturday, April 14, 2018 on a domestic violence related allegation and booked into the Menominee County Jail. His wife was not arrested.

Joseph Roy Feltus has a lengthy criminal history – and while wanted – is safe if he stays in U.P.

Menominee officers investigating the case Friday reported that the couple were separated, argument was over, and no charges will be filed.

Feltus has a warrant out west for felon in possession of a weapon (Felon Carrying Concealed Weapon – CCW) in Oregon.

Oregon cops put a warning on the warrant alleging that Feltus is “armed and dangerous” – yet they really don’t want him – its a non-extraditable warrant. Simply put, other states are thrilled that the wanted person is in the U.P. – making that person Michigan’s problem if additional crimes are committed.

He has been convicted of crimes – including battery – in the states of Oregon, Florida and Georgia: Battery touch or strike (battery), criminal mischief, out-of-county warrant, misdemeanor probation, Failure to appear warrant, fugitive other jurisdiction warrant

Feltus has long history of arrests in Mesa County, CO; Clifton, CO and Cedar Edge, CO; Brevard County, FL; Melbourne, FL; and St. Johns County, FL.
He has past addresses in those states and in Phoenix, Arizona.

Two more DV stories they do not want you to know about: Man arrested today after call that baseball bats were being used in an argument between a Marquette County couple – and an arrest this morning for domestic violence on grounds of a U.P. (Marquette County, MI) – Friday the 13th is turning out to be a bloody day for Upper Peninsula women.

A man was booked into the Marquette County Jail early today after a domestic violence call involving a baseball bats.

Meanwhile another man was booked a short while ago for “a DV on the Rez,” an Marquette County Sheriff’s Department deputy radioed to the Marquette County Jail.

Little is known about these cases, and don’t expect the cops to tell you.

Marquette County has listed some of the arrests on Vinelink but Mobile Patrol seems to be permanently down for the entire U.P.

“She hit him with a bat,” stated a dispatcher, adding the male suspect allegedly used the bat on a vehicle.

The dispatcher even stated that the neighbors were worried about the male suspect’s well-being due to numerous arguments with the female half of the incidents.

53-year-old Jeffrey Paul Norman (address unconfirmed) was arrested on a domestic assault/violence charge.

Norman has online past addresses in Rock, Gladstone, Perkins and Aurora, Colorado.

Meanwhile – 42-year-old Brian Allen Johnson (address unconfirmed) was arrested about 7 a.m. ET this morning, Friday, April 13, 2018 for that alleged assault on a Native American reservation apparently in Marquette County.

If you have a photo of Mr. Norman or Mr. Johnson – please send it to us.

There were numerous DV calls during the night across the U.P. – but only this one arrest. Many agencies convince victims not to file charges. Despite an assault.
Please keep us informed about DV in your area – we will actively pursue these cases in the name of public decency.

——-

While spending the once magic summers in the U.P. as a kid – always thought the elected officials here were extra honest. Boy was I duped.

Editorial on state of the DV and assault jail cover-ups in the U.P.:

Have you noticed we are the only media who really cares about this – all the other media hide behind mama’s apron – because of their needs to get lifeblood press releases from the cops (way after the fact, hardly news).

In fact, some media has wanted to see mobile patrol end because we have made the U.P. media look like the lame lapdogs that they are.

Purple DV RibbonOur question is to the women’s groups in the U.P. – do you folks support not identifying the suspects and not reporting to public the disposition of the DV cases???

If even the women’s groups are going along with the sheriff’s and prosecutors who like it covered up – God help the women of the U.P.

If the women’s groups do not go along with coverup – then why are they quiet as a mouse about it???

We expose all this because – one day – with more enlightened officials in charge – the pathetic U.P. abusers will be exposed.

Like the prisons, many will have to die before changes are made.

All need to be booted from office for dereliction of duty to protect the public from violent people.
Then there are the Mushroom Yoopers who like being raised in a vacuum. They prefer to believe the jolly TV newscasts – happy happy, joy joy (unless cops give the media permission to run a story via news release).

U.P. TV/Radio/Newspapers constantly coverup the arrests of wealthy advertisers and community leaders – we have proven that many, many times.

Now every law enforcement agencies and jail in the U.P. is violating the law by keeping the names/charges secret.

I am surprised Yoopers do not demand their rights – but media and crooked elected officials want it secret.

The reason – even last week we revealed a PPO case involving a powerful U.P. business man that was swept under the rug by U.P. media.

I hope young future reporters and future directors of U.P. women’s centers – decide they will not tolerate this. It may take 20 years and lots of black eyes, but hopefully one day the sun will shine on this scourge.

This is so disgusting its beyond words. We can only surmised they either sympathize with abusers (heard one cop in western U.P. has beaten women in his life without consequence, working on exposing him).
Until U.P. residents start demanding that their right to know – then your rights keep slipping away. The media will never take action like it has in other areas of the country.
The Boss Hogg cops and prosecutors will never tell the public about DV cases because they do not want you to know.
U.P. prosecutors treat the cases like they are not important and meant to be plea bargained away (they often even blame victim for having second thoughts about having their abuser prosecuted – and defense attorneys know it).

Lately U.P. law enforcement has started completely hiding all their arrests from Mobile Patrol, because of the crooked prosecutors and sheriff’s who do not want you to know what is happening.
They are embarrassed after running for office claiming to be tough on DV – when they are really soft and will plea down any and all cases – and we wonder why DV is only getting worse.

DV suspects know they will likely serve little time – so why not pummel the woman they “love.” Woman on woman DV is also a problem.

Only minorities in the U.P. have their DV cases thoroughly prosecuted. Heard about a case in Chippewa County where black suspects were jailed for year – no trial – and then released with no charges but stuck with huge attorney bills.

If you enjoy beating women and children – move to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan – where the sheriffs, prosecutors and state police actively protect you if your are arrested – your name isn’t released (In fact is actively hidden) – your charges are dropped or plea bargained into the basement.

(Upper Peninsula of Michigan) – Every single Upper Peninsula sheriff, prosecutors and Michigan State Police supervisor are involved in covering up for those who violently beat women.
A vast majority of the domestic beating victims in the U.P. are women – with suspects both men and women. Its that backwoods narcissist who think heor she has the God given right to pummel women.

In fact the dereliction of duty in the U.P. will ensure that if you have a two-year-old girl – its guaranteed she will be beaten when she starts dating because nothing is being done to prevent DV from continuing. Nothing. Just the opposite, as their names are covered up.
Ironically a few prosecutors run their re-election campaigns claiming to be tough on DV.

Hurry move to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan if enjoy beating women and child because nothing will happen to you

DVin UP Graphic 5

Even if you are charged – you will get super sweet plea bargains.

Plus many U.P. cops and prosecutors are eager to hide the names and charges against women beaters.

In fact, they are required by law to release names, photos and charges immediately after arrest – however they tell lies like the charges have to be authorized etc.
Complete and 100 percent BS.

Its a local backwards policy  – not Michigan state law – to withhold names and charges against criminal suspects in U.P.

Besides liking DV suspects – the U.P. Boss Hoggs play a guessing name on Mobile Patrol – they want you to guess what the charges are:

Some areas of the country actively get the names out and put them on TV feeds.
Some even send some info (names only) to Vinelink and Mobile Patrol.

The worst of the worst crooked sheriffs and prosecutors in the U.P completely hide everything like Baraga, Ontonagon, Gogebic Luce and some other counties – who absolutely love the folks who assault women and are child beaters.

A big case of child beating was recently covered up in Baraga County – and the suspect is a woman who fled.

And one of the worst plea bargains in DV history happened in past year in Delta County. In fact it is so horrified the sheriff and prosecutors should resigned in disgrace.

There there are the noble the state police – whom I was always taught to respect.

However there are courageous MSP troopers hands in the U.P. shut up or get fired or reassigned. MSP troops are forced to quietly go along with the crooked sheriff’s and shrug their shoulders – without the guts to speak out against the system.

The FBI has few agents in the U.P – and they have never ever investigated a white collar crime against a white U.P. elected leader. Never.

In Georgia at least they here sheriffs, prosecutors and other elected officials into their own jails.
One problem is there are so many socials issues that have been ignored in the U.P. that now its rampant.

Listen to the scanner for one night, a handful of cops on the roads in big U.P. counties – resounding to a host of mental illness and suicidal cases. Plus assaults everywhere.

During a clandestine meeting with a state cop recently – I was told that troopers are genuinely afraid that they will be shot one night because of all the untreated mental illness – the state budget answer to that is to continue to cut U.P. funding on all social areas.

I am truly ashamed of our leaders – and their bucket-load of lame excuses. I was taught when I grew up that these leaders were honorable.

These Boss Hoggs have a bizarre mental illness – they hunker down with a “you’re for us” or “you’re against us” mental defect.

They cannot take criticism.

The media is mind-controlled laps dog – to be fed occasional news releases days later – and corrupt officials have their hands licked by all the U.P. news bosses – like little pigs on a teet.

Since the first of the year, just a few examples of what we have already seen:

  • Marquette businessman gets away with hit and run
  • A U.P. radio executive’s jailing covered-up by U.P. media
  • A wealthy Marquette County west-end women is allowed to steal a quarter million dollars with a slap on the wrist
  • The inexplicable case (wealthy family) of a rapist in Forsyth Township – the male family scion was actually recently given probation for rape CSC
  • Then the man is Escanaba who savagely beat a kid into a coma – then a few years later strangled and threatened his girlfriend – who had major felonies dropped to an attempted DV – and he got just one year in state prison – and will soon be released in Delta County for all the women to date

Tell me is this justice?!?

As we shut down our news service on Sunday for financial reasons, we have two or three more exposes in the kettle of fish that is the U.P. Even in this new century.

#1 We will exposed how the Houghton County Sheriff, Michigan State Police, and Michigan Tech University who are involved in a conspiracy to illegally give a majority of the wrecker business to one company they favor– the company that also tunes and services their cops cars.
And the same wrecker service that has relatives on the force. The Michigan State Police Calumet Post supervisor has been repeatedly told about about this conspiracy – and MSP does nothing to stop it .

#2 Will will explain the Boss Hogg syndrome that permeates those in power. I started working political corruption news assignments in south Georgia (many arrests made by a watchful FBI)
In the U.P. an elected official can get away with anything they want – no checks and balances.

We just had a tip that the city of Marquette is purposely overpaying a building contractor – hiding the overruns – and a watchdog who blew the whistle was fired. Shame on Marquette. If we can before Sunday, we will pass along more info on that corruptions case involving Marquette city hall renovations.

Sunday midnight is our official unplugging moment – sadly – I hate it but have spent thousands of my own money.
I have had numerous state and federal cops privately acknowledge we are correct – but they can do nothing.
It takes decades to weed out a Boss Hogg system when the FBI isn’t watching. So tell the young girl to be prepared to be pummeled because those in charge are shameless idiots.
We cannot afford to continue fighting these big-headed creeps.
Our expenses are only $250 a month – and need help paying a huge government public records bill.

I understand most of our great and beautiful readers are low-income because we fight for them.
But if you have the means – and you believe in an independent press – please help. But don’t worry – if you can’t I’ll be fishing all summer rather than working. My retirement from news – and exposing U.P. corruption.

I believe the only way to make change with a Boss Hogg system that’s been ingrained for100 years – is to shine light on the problem. Please do not let your two-year-old girl be a victim when she’s a teen or older.

If Upper Peninsula women’s DV groups do not demand that a light be shone on offenders – then the beatings will continue for decades to come. Stand up and have the guts I know you have. Its not 1984.

Gwinn man with numerous domestic violence convictions fled the scene of a domestic argument and apparently handed-off his car to create a diversion for cops, because he was wanted on other charge- that has since been cancelled

URGENT – U.P. Breaking News Bulletin – 4-2-18 – 10:11 p.m. ET

Police at this hour were searching for a car with Mr. Artibee and his wife. However, it was just announced by the dispatcher talking to MSP troopers that this morning’s warrant against Mr. Artibee was withdrawn.

Mr. Artibee reached out to this reporter today but did not want to answer questions –  and his wife indicated he had paid a fine to take care of warrant. However neither would answer direct questions.

Both were vague, refused to answer questions (like why he ran, set up decoy car), and reached out to us but then stopped communicating. Sounds like he took care of warrant by paying some kind of fine or fee – this after fleeing.

(Gwinn, MI) – A late Monday morning domestic argument has a Forsyth Township man – with multiple domestic violence convictions – being sought by police on an unrelated warrant after he apparently gamed the cops.

After fleeing, he apparently set the cops up with decoy.

31-year-old Daniel Joseph Artibee left the scene of the argument at his residence on the 200 block of W. Carbon Street in Gwinn – however apparently no one was injured in the incident.
Police were called about 10:50 a.m. ET this morning, Monday, April 2, 2018.

After fleeing the domestic argument call, he was last seen driving a 1999 Silver Honda Civic toward N. Southgate Road also known as W. Iron Street in Gwinn, MI.

However police got behind is vehicle heading south on County Road 553 near the railroad overpass – however someone else – a decoy- was apparently driving the vehicle.

It appears the 34-year-old male decoy is described on police computers as often “armed and dangerous.”

The decoy driver is wanted on warrants out of Illinois but the state is not willing to extradite. Therefor the decoy was not arrested (we are currently withholding his name).

Police then speculated he may have been headed back toward his residence.

Police think one of the places he might have be running is to his mother’s house in Chocolay Township. Artibee is wanted on a no-bond felony warrant – however the nature of the charges is not known.

Artibus was sentenced to two years in prison August 2014 on two counts of third-offense attempted domestic violence that occurred in May 2014.
However it appears he served little or no time because he was charged with another crime in July 2015.

In Nov. 2015, Artibee, then 29 years old of Ishpeming, was sentenced to a $860 fine or go to jail for a July 2015 trespassing incident.

Online records state Artibee has past residences in Ishpeming, Skandia and Marquette.

Delta County bookings/busts since Thursday: All weekend arrests in Delta County – that is now hiding which people are charged with domestic violence so we have to show everyone

Delta County arrests/bookings from Thursday thru Sunday, March 26, 2018 – Delta County is now protecting domestic violence suspects by hiding the charges – They are thin skinned and did not like one of our editorials that said they were soft on DV – so we are now forced to show all arrests

(Escanaba, MI) – U.P. Breaking News is now forced to show all arrests in Delta County – since the Delta County Sheriff and Prosecutor just began hiding charges again domestic violence and other assault suspects.

They did this a day or so after we criticized them for being weak on DV suspect – who had attacked two people in his short life – and put one in a coma.

We do not know – and neither does the public – what these people were charged with – and officials in Delta County like it that way.

U.P. Breaking News believes strongly in exposing domestic violence that is rampant across northern Michigan. It is sad that 14 of the 15 U.P. counties (exception is Marquette County) hide domestic violence and other felony arrests from the public.

They like the power and control of information – and like to decide what you know. This is unacceptable in a free society – especially in an area where a women are violently attacked daily by other men and women. Sometimes the victims are men – but most are beaten by cowardly men (the prosecutors, sheriffs are men).

Domestic violence must be brought out of the shadows even if the U.P. local Boss Hoggs want to protect the offenders. Women have the right to know what men and other women are violent.

Apparently they want you to guess the charges.

Blood and a knife in an Ironwood, MI convenience store: Ironwood, MI domestic violence case shows Wisconsin couple have a history of injuring each other incident

(Ironwood, MI) – A quiet Sunday afternoon was broken in Ironwood, MI when a Wisconsin woman allegedly injured her husband in a domestic violence incident involving a knife inside an Ironwood convenience store.

The victim and suspect were later found in Iron County, Wisconsin, and this time he was the victim. It appears the couple have a history of domestic violence incidents as mutual combatants.

The victim also had a warrant out of Ironwood, MI for domestic violence – even though he was the victim this time.

Ironwood Public Safety officers answered the call at about 2:20 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2018.

It started with a call from the manager of the Krist Food Mart at 139 W. Cloverland Dr. in Ironwood, MI (near N. Lawrence St.).

Store manager Gary Etter said “he witnessed an assault inside the store,” the dispatcher told responding police officer. “There is blood in the store.”

The manager said he saw Storm “pull a knife on her – perhaps husband – Alex Storm.”

The couple “did leave – traveling towards Wisconsin in a red Chevy Impala,” the dispatcher told officers.

“I’ll be there in less than a minute,” said the officer assigned to the call, who arrived at 2:26 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon, March, 25, 2018.

The suspect vehicle is a maroon burgundy 2001 Chevrolet Impala – registered to Nellie Ann Works of Wisconsin Rapids, WI – also known as Nellie A. Yatczak. Works has a Wisconsin conviction for burglary of a building or dwelling, a class F felony.
Police determined the suspect and victim (Storm coupe) are living with Works on 11784 Atlantic Street in the city of Iron Belt located in Iron County, WI.

A be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) of the vehicle was sent to Wisconsin including Hurley and Iron County, WI.

The lookout stated that officers should stop the vehicle on check on the condition of the possibly stabbed male occupant – Alex Storm.

The vehicle was found in Iron County, WI – along the victim, who was apparently not seriously injured.

The Ironwood investigating officer told the dispatcher that he doubts they will extradite the Sunday victim – Mr. Storm – back to Ironwood to face his original domestic violence charge.

It is unclear if charges were filed or if Mrs. Storm was taken into custody.
