This makes U.P. Breaking News wonder, what is history of dog fighting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan – and does it happen now in the U.P.?

A lengthy investigation showed cocaine driven suspects had despicable kennels and other dog fighting equipment that was used for “sport, wagering” and “entertainment.”

Who busted the ring?

U.P. Breaking News believes a huge kudos is due for all those agents and bosses and others at the Inspector General folks at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

You can thank all those who helped Jeffery Nichols, a special agent for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Inspector General. Folks like Michigan State Police, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Department and in Eaton and Ingham counties – a bunch of dedicated animal-control workers.
