(Marquette, MI) – A Marquette Police officer seemed bemused when a large pickup truck bumped his patrol car twice early Saturday morning at the Marquette McDonald’s.
The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, April 28, 2018 – as both the cops and the suspect were in line at the drive thru to get their fast food meal.

“We’re gonna be in the McDonald’s Drive Thru … they ran into the back of our car twice,” the Marquette Police officer radioed to dispatchers at Marquette County 911 Central Dispatch.

Using a police code, the officer also stated he suspected they were struck twice by a dunk driver.
“OK, clear,” answered the dispatcher with a chuckle.

Likely cops across the area were laughing when they heard the unexpected incident.

Arrested was 22-year-old Jerry Nelson Boyer of Skandia, MI.

He was given a portable breath test but the results are not known.

Boyer was driving a black ford pickup truck – that got towed.

Boyer was suspected of drunken driving and no insurance. However the exact charges were never posted on Mobile Patrol.

He was released on bond.

The boss at police headquarters asked the officer over the radio about damage to his patrol car.

“A little scratch on the bumper, but nothing crazy,” the officer radioed Marquette Police Headquarters

A Northern Michigan University soccer player was among those arrested on violence related charges in Marquette County this weekend – plus the latest drug arrests.

20-year-old Edgar Rene Astorga of Marquette, MI was booked into the MCJ on Saturday afternoon.
Astorga is charged with assault and battery.
Astorga was released on a $2,500 bond.
Astorga is an athlete at Northern Michigan University who is sophomore majoring in communications
Astorga is a soccer standout from Chicago and is a member of the NMU Men’s Soccer Team.

NMU posted this about Astorga:
2017: Appeared in 18 games, making 15 starts including the first of his career in the season opener on August 31 versus Indianapolis. Astorga’s lone goal of the season came as the game-winner on September 10 versus Marygrove, while he also added a pair of assists on the season. Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.
2016: Finished the season in a three-way tie for fourth on the team with five points (2g-1a). Named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 27 after leading the Wildcats to wins over No. 12 Tiffin and Findlay; he netted the game-winning goal in both games and also notched an assist.

35-year-old Adam Lee Tousignant of Negaunee, MI was booked into the MCJ late Saturday morning on numerous charges.

Tousignant is charged with using a phone for malicious/threatening purposes, possession of a Schedule I, II, III narcotic, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs (OUID), and a jail prisoner possessing contraband.

Bond for Tousignant has not been set.

Tousignant arrested on Thurs., March 8, 2018 and charged with malicious use of a telephone to make threats.

30-year-old Paul Mitchell Tipton of Gwinn, MI was booked Friday night into the MCJ.
Tipton is charged with second-offense domestic violence/assault, expired license plates, nonpayment of child support and driving with a suspended/revoked license.
Tipton is being held without bond on the domestic assault charge.
In Dec 2015, Tipton, then 28, of 621 Liberator St. in Gwinn – was sentenced to the 26 days that he had served in jail for an Oct. 2015 domestic violence incident.
Tipton pleaded guilty to second offense domestic violence and put on 18 months probation and ordered to pay $1,845 in fines/costs

19-year-old Gerald William Herbst of Marquette, MI was booked into the MCJ on Friday morning.
Herbst is charged with domestic assault and contempt of court for bond violations issued by Marquette County District Court
Herbst is being held without bond.

42-year-old Mark Russell Anderson of (address unconfirmed) was booked into the MCJ Saturday evening and relesed on bond just afternoon Sunday.
Anderson is charged with domestic assault.
Bond for Anderson was set at $5,000.

23-year-old Michael Thomas Lyons of Negaunee, MI was booked into the Marquette County Jail late Saturday night, March 28, 2018.
Lyons is charged with domestic assault, illegal entry and driving an unregistered ORV.
Bond for Lyons is set just over $3,200.

35-year-old Nakeesha Sharee Briggs of Marquette, MI was booked into the MCJ late Friday night.
Briggs is charged with possession of a Schedule I, II, III narcotic.
Bond for Briggs has not been set.
In Sept. 2017, Briggs was arrested by UPSET and Marquette Police
Briggs was charged with possession of cocaine, four counts of child endangerment, weapons violation, and maintaining a drug house.
UPSET seized nearly 30 grams of cocaine, a firearm and evidence of drug distribution – this after investigation at a residence in the Sunnyside Estates mobile home park in Ishpeming Township.
Brigg’s four children were placed into protective custody with Michigan Child Protective Services.
Briggs was sentenced on March 9, 2018 to a year and a half in prison for possession of cocine.
It is unclear if she was beginning a jail sentence or busted on new charges. She was released on a suspended sentence last month and is listed as an MDOC Michigan probationer assigned to Marquette, MI.

Additional charges have been filed against 35-year-old Jack Alan Orhanen of Marquette, MI was booked into the MCJ early Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Orhanen is charged with felony third offense impaired drunken driving.

He is also charged with resisting arrest/obstructing a police officer, fourth degree fleeing and eluding, and joyriding/unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

(Marquette County, MI) – There were numerous domestic violence arrests in past 24 hours plus other felonies arrests in Marquette County involving a concealed weapon and even felony drunken driving – and breaking in Escanaba – a woman charged with DV in January calls 911 from a place she is not supposed to be.

As we were about to post this story, a domestic dispute erupted in the city of Escanaba – that shows domestic violence aggressors can be any sex – and sometimes jilted love drives some people to become repeat offenders.

43-year-old Heather R. McEntire of Escanaba, MI called 911 just before 5 a.m. ET Thursday morning and claimed she was assaulted by a man she was not supposed to see.
During this morning’s melee, McEntire was out on bond for a Jan. 15, 2018 arrest for domestic violence in Delta County.

The victim in that assault – 47-year-old John Robert Gray of Escanaba, MI – told 911 this morning that Heather and her brother attacked him.

As part of McEntire’s pretrial bond, she was ordered to stay away from Gray and not to visit his home.

Heather’s brother 46-year-old Jason Parker McEntire of many addresses in Delta County.

McEntire is also known as Heather Sirois; and she used to live in Bark River, Green Bay and Knoxville, TN.

Gray claimed that the siblings McEntire illegally arrived as his apartment at 416 First Avenue South “came in and assaulted him,” the dispatcher told responding officers.

About 5:30 a.m. today, Heather McEntire and John Gray wre both arrested on several charges including domestic violence – and both are lodged in the Delta County Detention Center.

Marquette Police responded just after 10 p.m. ET Wednesday night to a report of a possible domestic violence situation turned into hit and run.
The incident was reported at 700 Homestead St in Marquette, MI.
“Responded to a domestic situation that has now turned into a hit and run PDA (property damage accident),” the dispatcher told police headed to the scene not far from Grove Street and the bypass.
In the rear parking lot, a witness told 911 dispatchers that “a male and a female were involved in a domestic situation,” the officers were told via radio from HQ.
The blonde female ‘got in a white Jeep” and “sped out of the parking lot to get away from the male,” officers were told.
The male got into an older red passenger car and “was leaving in a hurry,” a 911 dispatcher to responding officers
The male, now a suspect, “apparently struck a black in color car in the parking lot,” he said, adding that due to darkness the exact make and model of the red car was not visible.
The red car should “have front and rear damage,” the dispatcher said.
The witness told police that the couple was involved in a previous domestic situation about one month ago.
On the east side of the apartment building, police found a damaged red Ford Taurus.
Its is unclear what became of the investigation.

A Marquette man was arrested Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 2018 on domestic assault charges.

56-year-old Christopher Lee Mathews of Marquette, MI was arrested on a two-count domestic violence warrant.

Mathews was booked into the Marquette County Jail.

He was arrested by police at about 3 p.m. ET, Wed., March 25, 2018.

Details of the alleged assault have not been released.
Mathews is a former NMU employee, who studied hotel management in New Mexico, according to his Facebook page.

He was released on bond about an hour after booking.
Details of the incident have not been released by police.

32-year-old Randy James Tuominen of Ishpeming, MI was booked into the MCJ Wednesday afternoon.
Touminen is charged with domestic assault and stalking.

(Ishpeming, MI) – Ishpeming Police officers this morning deployed their tasers during an arrest just after midnight, plus they arrested a man for domestic violence.

Ishpeming police officers radioed 911 dispatch that they had a “taser deployment” incident at about 12:10 a.m. ET, this morning, Wed., April 25, 2018.

It is not clear who they shot and shocked with tasers. It is known that they were looking for a white pickup truck at the time. Asked by the dispatcher if the person who was tased needed EMS, the officers said he did not.

Also in Ishpeming this morning, Ishpeming Police headed arrested a domestic violence suspect.

Details of the alleged attack have not been released.

The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Michael Gary Polkki of Ishpeming, MI.

When arrested Polkki had a portable breath test (PBT) reading of .114, officers radioed to the jail.

A bond amount for Polkki is not known.

Online records indicate he is a very strong union supporter and its projects.

The case remains under investigation by the Ishpeming Police Department.

Meanwhile in the southern U.P. – a hammer incident injures at least one and possibly two people early Tuesday.

A hammer was allegedly used in an attack Tuesday morning involving a downstate man and his ex-girlfriend – as one or both were injured in attack that saw the man allegedly hit the woman with the hammer.

The attack was reported about 12:20 a.m. CT and 1:20 a.m. ET Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

42-year-old Howard James Compo of Mountain Pleasant, MI allegedly ignored a personal protection order and assaulted his ex with a hammer.

A police officer radioed another that he had found a bloody weapon.

“I found a hammer outside the residence with blood all over it,” the officer stated. “And his girlfriend has blood all over her as well.”

The dispatcher radioed officers that Compo is forbidden to have “contact with Ashley Alexander without written permission from the probation officer.”
Police found a nearby Crown Victoria registered to Compo.
In Jan. 2018, Compo was given a light sentence for domestic violence in Isabella County Trial Court.

Compo was sentenced to 21 days in jail, 10 months probation plus about $600 in fines/costs for domestic violence.
Originally from Lansing, Compo is a maintenance worker for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and Housekeeping at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort
On his Facebook page, under relationship Compo put “It’s complicated.”
The incident happened in either Delta or Menominee counties – but a check of both shows officials have not booked the man (or his ex) in either Delta or Menominee counties.

So the exact location of hammer incident has not been confirmed – an injured man who was hammered drunk was found Bark River at the same time – not clear if connected.

However at the same time a man was found drunk and injured in Bark River.
The man found highly intoxicated and laying on the ground near the Bergman Insurance Agency at 1343 U.S. Highway 2/41 in Bark River, MI. He was bleeding from his arm.
The dispatcher told officers headed to the scene that man wanted to leave, but was coaxed into staying by another person – who apparently wrapped the man’s arm as it was bleeding badly.
“He is still are arguing with the caller – wanting to leave but our caller is doing a real good job keeping him” from leaving.
“He is very insistent on leaving,” the dispatcher added.

(Marquette, MI) – High bonds have been set for three people who remain jailed in Marquette, MI this morning after being busted on meth distribution and operating a drug house charges.

28-year-old Ebonie Latrice Burns of Marquette, MI was booked into the Marquette County Jail early Tuesday morning, April 23, 2018.
Burns is charged with the delivery and manufacture of methamphetamine.
Jail records do not state a bond for Burns.

Burns attended Northern Michigan University, according to her Facebook page.
Burns made the big news in 2016 when she was arrested in Marquette for an felonious assault in the parking lot of the Admiral gas Station (scroll down for details).

44-year-old Bradley Joseph Hancock of Muskegon, MI was booked late Tuesday night and is being held on a $300,000 bond.
Hancock is charged with the delivery and manufacture of meth, possession of meth, and possession of a firearm (felony firearms charge).
Hancock has online addresses listed in Muskegon, MI and Daytona Beach, FL.

42-year-old Kareen Shanton Robertson of Muskgeon, MI was booked late Tuesday night and is being held on a $110,000 bond.
Robertson is charged with the delivery and manufacture of crystal meth and maintaining a drug house.
Robertson has prior addresses in Grand Rapids and several cities in Arizona.

On March 14, 2016, Burns made the news after confessing she was part of a late night violent attack of two people in the parking lot of the Admiral Gas Station on W. Washington Street in Marquette.

Marquette Police responded to the scene but the victim and suspects had left.
An investigation lead to the discovery of two people who were attacked by a pool cue and a make-shift bat – and treated and released from the Marquette hospital..
Charged with felonious assault were Ebonie Burns and her companion then 38-year-old Kowayne Terrelle Burns of Marquette.

Ebonie Burns pleaded guilty the next month to assault with dangerous weapon (felonious assault) – and was sentenced to one-year-in jail – with her sentence suspended/delayed with credit for the short time served.
Burns was on probation until March 2017.

He is already a convicted of being a second-offense habitual offender.

Ogea was arrested about 9 p.m. ET tonight, Sat., April 21, 2018 during a traffic stop on M-553 near Silver Creek Road near Teaching Family Homes in Marquette County

On August 20, 2015, Ogea, then 37, was busted in Gladstone, MI on four felony drug charges and was released on a bond of $30,000 (10 percent).

In Delta County, Ogea faced numerous drug charges including three four-year felonies – two counts of possession of less than 25 grams of narcotic Methylphenidate, and possession of less than 25 grams of narcotic Hydrocodone, and possession of less than 25 grams of the narcotic Clonazepam (two-year felony); and driving on a suspended license (93-day misdemeanor).

In Feb 2016, Ogea, then 38 years old, was sentenced to six months in jail, had his driver’s license suspended 60 days/and then restricted for over 300 days; plus about $200 in fines/costs.

Anyone who has had kids knows that two year olds are acrobats that will climb anything and everything – however sometimes that innate adventuresome fun turns into a serious injury.

Parents in Garfield Township called for an ambulance late this morning, Saturday, April 21, 2018 – after their toddler took a bad fall.

Two-year-old female “who fell off of an approximately seven-foot ladder,” the dispatcher told the paramedics/EMTs.

It happened at a residence on Sandtown Road in Engadine, MI.

“She is bleeding from the ear,” the dispatcher said. The victim is “a two-year-old female who fell off a ladder – they believe it may be a seven-foot fall.”

That is the last word we have on the incident, however presumably the girl was taken to the Straits Area Hospital. Her condition is not known.

There was a strange theft call last night at the “Mom Prom” fundraiser held at the U.P. Masonic Center about 11:30p.m. ET last night Friday. Two Marquette Police Department units were sent to investigate the theft of a purse.
No word on the theft was confirmed or the purse was misplaced and then found
This year the annual fundraiser for a family-in-need was held to benefit the family of 8-year-old William Chittle of Negaunee, who has three rare medical conditions.

A rare and mysterious “special hearing” was held this morning at the Chippewa County Courthouse.
A Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department deputy was told he was needed back at the office to attend the special hearing at 10 a.m. ET on Sat., April 21, 2018.
Judges never come in on Saturday without a very good reason – so it had to be something significant and unexpected.
Scanner listeners said they heard police say the grandfather of the children was requesting to be allowed in the hearing.
No Star Chamber, but interesting nonetheless.

Two shoplifters were busted about 3 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon at the Shopko in Marquette, MI.
They were “cooperative” with the store’s retail fraud squad.

At least 3 Michigan state prison inmates were taken by ambulance on Friday night for medical reasons including a seizure and chest pains – at the Baraga Max Prison and the Chippewa Regional Correctional Facility.
Then on Saturday morning, a Gogebic County Jail inmate reportedly had a seizure and received a head injury in the jail showers.
The inmate, in his 20s, suffered a head injury – and while paramedics were told the inmate bled – one radioed doctor about the scene in the jail located in Bessemer, MI.
The blood “must have been wiped off” before the ambulance arrive, a paramedic radioed medical control at the Aspirus Grand View Ironwood Hospital.

However, U.P. Breaking News has put together information on two of the cases – as we continue our no tolerance stories on domestic violence.

Sadly for your safety, its becoming harder to get that info, as all the U.P. sheriffs and prosecutors recently stopped giving information on DV arrests.

32-year-old Troy Allen Schwiderson of Brimley, MI is jailed in Chippewa County this morning in connection with the assault after he alleged beat up a woman.

About 1:22 a.m. ET this morning April 29-2018, law enforcement authorities in Chippewa County were called about a domestic assault in a room at the Mini Motel at 12190 W. Lakeshore Drive in Brimley, MI.

A woman called Chippewa County 911 to report the man allegedly “beat up (the caller’s) granddaughter” and another person.

“There is a ton of screaming in the background,” the dispatcher warned police cars en-route to the scene.

At about 1:29 a.m, police on the scene requested Bay Mills EMS for “assault” victim. Bay Mills Emergency Connection EMS Alpha One responded.

The victims were reportedly 22-year-old Dale Lehman Teeple, Jr. and female (Sierra) whose full name we are temporarily withholding, both of Bay Mills.

The victims were treated on the scene by Bay Mills paramedics/EMTs and neither were taken by ambulance to the hospital. However, officers investigating the case went to War Memorial Hospital – not sure why.

Meanwhile, there was also a domestic violence case reported this morning in Ishpeming, MI.
Early today, a Marquette County man was arrested in a domestic violence/assault investigation.
About 1:30 a.m ET this morning, April 19, 2018, police arrested 25-year-old Austin James Rivard of Ishpeming, MI.

(Marquette County, MI) – Friday the 13th is turning out to be a bloody day for Upper Peninsula women.

A man was booked into the Marquette County Jail early today after a domestic violence call involving a baseball bats.

Meanwhile another man was booked a short while ago for “a DV on the Rez,” an Marquette County Sheriff’s Department deputy radioed to the Marquette County Jail.

Little is known about these cases, and don’t expect the cops to tell you.

Marquette County has listed some of the arrests on Vinelink but Mobile Patrol seems to be permanently down for the entire U.P.

“She hit him with a bat,” stated a dispatcher, adding the male suspect allegedly used the bat on a vehicle.

The dispatcher even stated that the neighbors were worried about the male suspect’s well-being due to numerous arguments with the female half of the incidents.

53-year-old Jeffrey Paul Norman (address unconfirmed) was arrested on a domestic assault/violence charge.
Norman has online past addresses in Rock, Gladstone, Perkins and Aurora, Colorado.

Meanwhile – 42-year-old Brian Allen Johnson (address unconfirmed) was arrested about 7 a.m. ET this morning, Friday, April 13, 2018 for that alleged assault on a Native American reservation apparently in Marquette County.

There were numerous DV calls during the night across the U.P. – but only this one arrest. Many agencies convince victims not to file charges. Despite an assault.

While spending the once magic summers in the U.P. as a kid – always thought the elected officials here were extra honest. Boy was I duped.

Have you noticed we are the only media who really cares about this – all the other media hide behind mama’s apron – because of their needs to get lifeblood press releases from the cops (way after the fact, hardly news).

In fact, some media has wanted to see mobile patrol end because we have made the U.P. media look like the lame lapdogs that they are.

Our question is to the women’s groups in the U.P. – do you folks support not identifying the suspects and not reporting to public the disposition of the DV cases???

We expose all this because – one day – with more enlightened officials in charge – the pathetic U.P. abusers will be exposed.

Like the prisons, many will have to die before changes are made.

All need to be booted from office for dereliction of duty to protect the public from violent people.
Then there are the Mushroom Yoopers who like being raised in a vacuum. They prefer to believe the jolly TV newscasts – happy happy, joy joy (unless cops give the media permission to run a story via news release).

U.P. TV/Radio/Newspapers constantly coverup the arrests of wealthy advertisers and community leaders – we have proven that many, many times.

Now every law enforcement agencies and jail in the U.P. is violating the law by keeping the names/charges secret.

I am surprised Yoopers do not demand their rights – but media and crooked elected officials want it secret.

The reason – even last week we revealed a PPO case involving a powerful U.P. business man that was swept under the rug by U.P. media.

I hope young future reporters and future directors of U.P. women’s centers – decide they will not tolerate this. It may take 20 years and lots of black eyes, but hopefully one day the sun will shine on this scourge.

This is so disgusting its beyond words. We can only surmised they either sympathize with abusers (heard one cop in western U.P. has beaten women in his life without consequence, working on exposing him).
Until U.P. residents start demanding that their right to know – then your rights keep slipping away. The media will never take action like it has in other areas of the country.
The Boss Hogg cops and prosecutors will never tell the public about DV cases because they do not want you to know.
U.P. prosecutors treat the cases like they are not important and meant to be plea bargained away (they often even blame victim for having second thoughts about having their abuser prosecuted – and defense attorneys know it).

Lately U.P. law enforcement has started completely hiding all their arrests from Mobile Patrol, because of the crooked prosecutors and sheriff’s who do not want you to know what is happening.
They are embarrassed after running for office claiming to be tough on DV – when they are really soft and will plea down any and all cases – and we wonder why DV is only getting worse.

DV suspects know they will likely serve little time – so why not pummel the woman they “love.” Woman on woman DV is also a problem.

Only minorities in the U.P. have their DV cases thoroughly prosecuted. Heard about a case in Chippewa County where black suspects were jailed for year – no trial – and then released with no charges but stuck with huge attorney bills.

(Marquette, MI) – A Marquette County man is jailed on numerous charges for the third time in a month after taking his grandparent’s car without permission tonight, crashing it near the Marquette County Courthouse – and then fleeing on foot.

22-year-old Richard Patrick Voet was booked into the Marquette County Jail about 9 p.m. on numerous charges including hit-and-run/leaving the scene of an accident, driving repeatedly on a suspended/revoked license and unlawfully driving an automobile (UDAA).

In March 2018, Voet was arrested in two separate domestic violence cases.

The suspect was driving a gray Pontiac and when he crashed into a red Ford Ranger – heavily damaging both vehicles.

Voet took foot bond and left his grandparent’s smashed vehicle in the middle of the intersection – at Third Street and Baraga Avenue in Marquette, MI.

“The guy took off on foot,” said an Marquette Police department officer investigating the crash.

The hit and run crash happened just after 7 p.m. ET tonight, Saturday, April 7, 2018.
The crash is just feet from the steps of the Marquette County Courthouse – the same courthouse the man will be prosecuted.

Voet was last seen walking west along Washington Street from Third Street wearing a hoodie and carrying a big bag. About an hour after the wreck, Voet called 911 and told police he wanted to surrender.

The Pontiac he crashed belongs to Rose Maki of K.I. Sawyer

No one was hurt in the wreck. The name of the owner of the other vehicle was not immediately available.

Both vehicles were towed by Marquette Detailing wrecker service.
Voet has addresses listed in several Marquette County cities including Ishpeming and Negaunee.

When the crash happened, Voet was out on $10,000 bond in connection with two domestic violence cases.
Voet was booked into the Marquette County Jail on Fri. night, March 10, 2018 on a charge of second-offense domestic violence/assault.
A week earlier, Voet was booked into the MCJ on Sat. night, March 3, 2018 for domestic assault in the first case.

In July 2015, Voet, then 19, of Negaunee ultimately served three days in jail for assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and failure to stop after collision.

He was also placed on a year’s probation and ordered to pay $3,000 in fines/costs

(Upper Peninsula of Michigan) – There were numerous assaults reported to Upper Peninsula law enforcement over the 2018 Easter/Passover holiday weekend including one that left a Texas man jailed in Marquette.

A Texas man – with a history of assault – is jailed this morning for an alleged Easter night attack at a Marquette, MI Bar.

A 911 hangup call lead to the reported assault at the Third Base Bar about 8:45 p.m. ET Sunday night, April 1, 2018 in Marquette.
“It was a 911 hangup, and then when we called back, the bartender said someone threw a pint, a glass, and started a fight.
When police arrived, they found the victim but the suspect had left in a tan Toyota with Texas license plates.
32-year-old Adan Andres Ocon of El Paso, Texas was booked into the Marquette County Jail about 10:30 p.m. ET on Sunday night.

The victim of the assault at the Third Base Bar is Marquette resident Jordy Maki, who had never met the suspect or the suspect’s friend before Sunday night.

Maki tells U.P. Breaking News that the suspect “chucked a glass against the back of the bar and scared everyone.”
“He then rushed at me and started swinging. I defended myself and the fight was broke up. I followed him and his friend Paco outside to take a picture of the license plate of the van they where trying to drive off in,” Maki said.

The suspect’s friend Paco “attempted to block the license plate as Adan rushed out of the vehicle to fight me again.”

“My jaw is really soar from being punched but for the most part I’m alright,” Maki said, adding he was pleased with the help from Marquette Police in making an arrest.

About 9:50 p.m., the suspect was located on the 1000 block of Cleveland Avenue in Marquette.

At 10:06 p.m. Sunday night, Marquette Police requested that the suspect be checked over for minor injuries he received in the fight and called the Marquette Fire Department and U.P. Health System-Marquette (East) EMS

Ocon has “minor lacerations” on a hand and head that were “patched up by EMS.”
The suspect was described as “highly intoxicated” but refused a PBT on scene of arrest at 1001 Cleveland Ave. in Marquette, MI.

A married father of one, Ocon has several arrests dating back to 2003 including assaulting a family member, robbery, resisting arrest, harassing a public servant, and criminal mischief.

Police responded to a domestic violence call late Saturday night at K.I. Sawyer, after a woman and child fled from their home in fear.

The called was dispatched about 11 p.m. Saturday night, March 31, 2018.

The suspect was booked into the Marquette County Jail on unknown charges.

He is 49-year-old Scott William Stewart of K.I. Sawyer.
Stewart has addresses listed online in Ishpeming, Gwinn and Marshal in Michigan; Milwaukee and Fitchburg, WI; and Decatur, IL.

About a half an hour earlier Saturday night, Marquette Police were called to an irate man who was causing a loud and aggressive disturbance at his daughter’s home, wanted to commit suicide by cop – and allegedly assaulted his daughter’s boyfriend.
“Her father is out of control and wants to be shot by officers,” the dispatcher radioed responding officers.
Police were called about 10:34 p.m. ET on Saturday night, March 31, 2018 to a residence at the Birch Grove Trailer Park at 500 Pioneer Road in Marquette.
Firefighters and paramedics were asked to stage at a nearby animal food and supply store.
The suspect agreed, then refused to come out with his hands up. Its not clear how, but he was taken into custody a short time later.
The upset suspect surrendered without incident, but could be heard yelling in the background as officers radioed to have hospital security meet their patrol car when they arrived at U.P. Health System-Marquette.
U.P. Breaking News is withholding all names from the incident because the man is undergoing mental health treatment, rather than being immediately arrested.
