At least one serious injury in Luce County crash as fast moving SUV rolls several times

(Newberry, MI) – At least one person has been taken to the Marquette trauma center after a violent single vehicle crash today in Luce County, MI.

About 1 p.m. today, paramedics from Luce County EMS were rushing a women to U.P. Health System-Marquette with serious injuries.

The accident reportedly involved an SUV that was traveling about 60 to 65 miles per hour when it rolled several times in Luce County.

The accident apparently happened this morning Mon., March 26, 2018. It is not known how many people were hurt in the accident.

Paramedics said they were unable to put a cervical collar on the victim’s neck.

The woman was reportedly a back seat passenger – who was not wearing a seat belt – when the SUV violently flipped off the highway and rolled numerous times.

The Luce County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police are thought to be investigating the crash.
