34-year-old Kristen Gill Cevigney of Michigamme, MI was booked into the Marquette County Jail at 4:28 a.m. today, Wed., Jan. 31, 2018.
Cevigney is charged with domestic assault.
Both she and her husband called 911 early today to report an assault. She says he kicked-in bedroom door where she was hiding with teen children – and at some point she had to hold him off with a knife.
However, her husband said she put a knife to his throat.
Bond has not been set.

52-year-old Brian Scott Anderson of Republic, MI was booked into the Marquette County Jail (MCJ) at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday night, Jan. 30, 2018 and remains behind bars.

Anderson is charged with felony aggravated domestic violence/assault. Anderson has dark criminal history involving threats to burn his children during a stalking domestic dispute nearly 20 years ago.

The Tuesday night incident included alcohol.

The 49 -year-old victim ran to a neighbor’s house.

Paramedics rushed her to U.P. Health System-Marquette suffering serious “trauma.” The woman was “struck multiple times to the face,” the paramedics radioed doctors in Marquette.

The victim is suffering from bruising and hematomas to the forehead, the orbital area, and in the center of her face. The victim blacked out several times.

Brian Scott Anderson has past address in the Menominee/Marinette area, Green Bay and Skandia, MI.

In fact, the state fought Anderson’s 1999 appeal of a habitual offender conviction in Menominee County Circuit Court in the southern U.P.
Anderson was convicted by jury of aggravated stalking and sentenced as a second-offense habitual offender to a prison term of 4 to 7 1/2 years.
Anderson claimed that his suicidal state during the stalking of his then wife should have been a mitigating factor.

However the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled that Anderson was not acknowledging the “effect of the crime on his children, whom he threatened to set on fire while brandishing a gas can.”

38-year-old Keith Michael Roberts of Ishpeming, MI was booked into the Marquette County Jail at 10:04 p.m. Tuesday night, Jan. 30, 2018.
Roberts is charged with felony aggravated domestic violence/assault
Roberts is being held without bond.

Details of the case against Roberts have not been released. However if its not a new charge – it could be connected to his case about 12 months ago.

In August 2017, Roberts, then of Ishpeming, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 12 months probation for aggravated assault/domestic violence and attempted interfere with electronic communications. He was also order to pay over $1,600 in fines/fees in connection with the assault on Feb 12, 2017.

Restraining order and PPO arrests in Marquette and Delta County:

32-year-old Michael Nuckols of Gwinn, MI was booked into the MCJ at 2:54 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2018.
Nuckols is charged with violating a restraining order/personal protection order (PPO)
Nuckols bond has not been set bond

Meanwhile two co-defendants in a 2017 credit card crime were caught hanging out with each other apparently during a traffic stop. They had been told to stay away from each other.

25-year-old Kelley Liane Hansen of Escanaba, MI was booked into the Delta County Detention Center at 3:30 p.m.Tuesday afternoon.
Hansen is charged with a no contact violation.
In August 2017, Hansen was sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to attempted illegal sale/use of a financial transaction device.
She had to pay over $1,700 total in restitution/fines.
In June 2016, Hansen, then 23, was sentenced to 8 months in jail for providing material to manufacture and distribute meth. The meth case received a lot of U.P. media attention.

39-year-old Jamie Rose of Escanaba was booked into the DCDC at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Rose is charged with violating a no contact order.
No bond has been set for Rose.

In September 2017, Rose was sentenced to five months in jail for second-degree retail fraud.

In Aug. 2017, was sentenced six months in the DCDC for attempted illegal sale/use of a financial transaction device.

She had to pay over $1,700 total in restitution/fines.
