Marquette Police responded just after 10 p.m. ET Wednesday night to a report of a possible domestic violence situation turned into hit and run.
The incident was reported at 700 Homestead St in Marquette, MI.
“Responded to a domestic situation that has now turned into a hit and run PDA (property damage accident),” the dispatcher told police headed to the scene not far from Grove Street and the bypass.
In the rear parking lot, a witness told 911 dispatchers that “a male and a female were involved in a domestic situation,” the officers were told via radio from HQ.
The blonde female ‘got in a white Jeep” and “sped out of the parking lot to get away from the male,” officers were told.
The male got into an older red passenger car and “was leaving in a hurry,” a 911 dispatcher to responding officers
The male, now a suspect, “apparently struck a black in color car in the parking lot,” he said, adding that due to darkness the exact make and model of the red car was not visible.
The red car should “have front and rear damage,” the dispatcher said.
The witness told police that the couple was involved in a previous domestic situation about one month ago.

(Upper Peninsula of Michigan) – Numerous violent domestic disputes have occurred in past 24 hours across the U.P. – however police and prosecutors are hiding information on the cases.

However, U.P. Breaking News has put together information on two of the cases – as we continue our no tolerance stories on domestic violence.

Sadly for your safety, its becoming harder to get that info, as all the U.P. sheriffs and prosecutors recently stopped giving information on DV arrests.

32-year-old Troy Allen Schwiderson of Brimley, MI is jailed in Chippewa County this morning in connection with the assault after he alleged beat up a woman.

About 1:22 a.m. ET this morning April 29-2018, law enforcement authorities in Chippewa County were called about a domestic assault in a room at the Mini Motel at 12190 W. Lakeshore Drive in Brimley, MI.

A woman called Chippewa County 911 to report the man allegedly “beat up (the caller’s) granddaughter” and another person.

“There is a ton of screaming in the background,” the dispatcher warned police cars en-route to the scene.

At about 1:29 a.m, police on the scene requested Bay Mills EMS for “assault” victim. Bay Mills Emergency Connection EMS Alpha One responded.

The victims were reportedly 22-year-old Dale Lehman Teeple, Jr. and female (Sierra) whose full name we are temporarily withholding, both of Bay Mills.

The victims were treated on the scene by Bay Mills paramedics/EMTs and neither were taken by ambulance to the hospital. However, officers investigating the case went to War Memorial Hospital – not sure why.

Meanwhile, there was also a domestic violence case reported this morning in Ishpeming, MI.
Early today, a Marquette County man was arrested in a domestic violence/assault investigation.
About 1:30 a.m ET this morning, April 19, 2018, police arrested 25-year-old Austin James Rivard of Ishpeming, MI.
The exact charges against Rivard are being hidden by police

——-

Reference all Upper Peninsula arrests and suspects – corrupt U.P prosecutors and sheriff’s (all U.P. counties as of recently) have decided

The charges exact against the DV suspects are not 100 percent clear, as all U.P. sheriff’s and prosecutors have now stated no information will be released on jailed suspects unless they decide you have the right to know (while keeping others secret from public for political reasons) – including those locked up for rape, domestic abuse/assault and other violence.

They are also hiding recent arrests for embezzlement, theft, and a long list of other criminal incidents.

U.P. law enforcement pulled the plug on all mobile patrol information that showed arrests about two weeks ago.

U.P. prosecutors and sheriff’s apparently have deiced they are the self-appointed gatekeepers of all public information – which U.P. Breaking News thinks is horrendous for public safety – but they simply do not care.

(Marquette, MI) – A Marquette County man is jailed on numerous charges for the third time in a month after taking his grandparent’s car without permission tonight, crashing it near the Marquette County Courthouse – and then fleeing on foot.

22-year-old Richard Patrick Voet was booked into the Marquette County Jail about 9 p.m. on numerous charges including hit-and-run/leaving the scene of an accident, driving repeatedly on a suspended/revoked license and unlawfully driving an automobile (UDAA).

In March 2018, Voet was arrested in two separate domestic violence cases.

The suspect was driving a gray Pontiac and when he crashed into a red Ford Ranger – heavily damaging both vehicles.

Voet took foot bond and left his grandparent’s smashed vehicle in the middle of the intersection – at Third Street and Baraga Avenue in Marquette, MI.

“The guy took off on foot,” said an Marquette Police department officer investigating the crash.

The hit and run crash happened just after 7 p.m. ET tonight, Saturday, April 7, 2018.
The crash is just feet from the steps of the Marquette County Courthouse – the same courthouse the man will be prosecuted.

Voet was last seen walking west along Washington Street from Third Street wearing a hoodie and carrying a big bag. About an hour after the wreck, Voet called 911 and told police he wanted to surrender.

The Pontiac he crashed belongs to Rose Maki of K.I. Sawyer

No one was hurt in the wreck. The name of the owner of the other vehicle was not immediately available.

Both vehicles were towed by Marquette Detailing wrecker service.

Maki tells U.P. Breaking News that the suspect “chucked a glass against the back of the bar and scared everyone.”
“He then rushed at me and started swinging. I defended myself and the fight was broke up. I followed him and his friend Paco outside to take a picture of the license plate of the van they where trying to drive off in,” Maki said.

The suspect’s friend Paco “attempted to block the license plate as Adan rushed out of the vehicle to fight me again.”

“My jaw is really soar from being punched but for the most part I’m alright,” Maki said, adding he was pleased with the help from Marquette Police in making an arrest.

About 9:50 p.m., the suspect was located on the 1000 block of Cleveland Avenue in Marquette.

At 10:06 p.m. Sunday night, Marquette Police requested that the suspect be checked over for minor injuries he received in the fight and called the Marquette Fire Department and U.P. Health System-Marquette (East) EMS

About a half an hour earlier Saturday night, Marquette Police were called to an irate man who was causing a loud and aggressive disturbance at his daughter’s home, wanted to commit suicide by cop – and allegedly assaulted his daughter’s boyfriend.
“Her father is out of control and wants to be shot by officers,” the dispatcher radioed responding officers.
Police were called about 10:34 p.m. ET on Saturday night, March 31, 2018 to a residence at the Birch Grove Trailer Park at 500 Pioneer Road in Marquette.
Firefighters and paramedics were asked to stage at a nearby animal food and supply store.
The suspect agreed, then refused to come out with his hands up. Its not clear how, but he was taken into custody a short time later.
The upset suspect surrendered without incident, but could be heard yelling in the background as officers radioed to have hospital security meet their patrol car when they arrived at U.P. Health System-Marquette.
U.P. Breaking News is withholding all names from the incident because the man is undergoing mental health treatment, rather than being immediately arrested.

The info for some of the U.P. is now available through “Sword Solutions.”

No saliva in my tea please: Hong Kong Buffet again accused of shoddy and even gross food and tea practices – like serving you the same tea left over by previous customers in their cups and pots – plus U.P. health departments guard restaurant inspections records – and media also doesn’t care

(Marquette, MI) – Upper Peninsula Health Departments are covering up restaurant inspection records – and the U.P. media doesn’t challenge the departments for reasons that include it will anger their advertisers who own restaurants.

The Hong Kong Buffet in Marquette, MI is back up to its past alleged shenanigans, according to insiders.
Previous owners have closed the restaurant after a crackdown by the health department.

But that brings up something this reporter has been fighting for decades, U.P. health departments use all sorts of excuses on why the restaurant inspection reports should not be revealed including their rating system – they are kind of like the bridge inspection warnings – just because something is “critical” do not worry – it means little (they say).

Did you know your tea at the Hong Kong Buffet – was allegedly in the cups and pots of previous customers?
Yummy – talk about “Tea for Two.”

U.P. Breaking News even saw a written conversation in which one of the owner’s admits they re-use their tea.

Our sources believe the owners are all about business and making money – and may not share traditional food service values expected in America – they call it a cultural differences.

Waitresses are allegedly told to gather all tea – what remains in cups and pots – and pour it into a larger container of tea.

The restaurant also allegedly reheats its buffet food, sometimes more than once.

Insiders also seriously question the temperature of the food in the buffet pans. Silverware cleanliness is another issue that a insider questioned because unused silverware at the tables is not washed – rather it is recycled back into the system.

Our insider said waitresses are told to quickly wipe off tables – and it doesn’t matter if the table is spotless for the next customer.

We’d Love to be Proven Wrong – but We Aren’t Wrong!

U.P. Breaking News welcomes any U.P. health department to say we are wrong – and then cough up the restaurant records for the past year or two.

A restaurant tip we leave for you who inspect restaurants: Don’t worry the media in the U.P. Is unlikely to ask.

To ask about restaurant inspections would go against the financial bottom-line U.P. TV stations, newspapers and radio stations – as restaurant advertising is valuable.

The real bottom line is neither restaurants or the public health officials want you to know what is found during inspections – after all they think you may get wrong idea just because feces or other violations are found (Always remember we live in Michigan, where the absolute top person who is charged with protecting your health is still in office after being arrested for killing taxpayers in Flint – you can thank our criminal governor sticky Ricky Snyder for that and much more).

I tried to access restaurant inspection cross while working at WLUC TV-6 and at the Mining Journal but was shut down by my bosses – this after Marquette County health department officials whined to my bosses and – and basically ordered the media to just worry about vaccinations not your food.

If you listen long enough, you get to believe their BS about why records should not be posted on their website. Just like U.P. counties do not put public records on their websites (Like all bigger cities downstate). The reason is because they get rich selling public records – charging 100 times what the feds charge for public records.

Public records are the Yooper government version of the cash cow – as are jail incarceration charges (prisoners must pay the county more than it would cost at nice local hotel and without terrible food), and a thousand fees that are tacked onto everything.
And in some of the dark U.P. counties it all about knowledge, power and protecting the wealthy when it comes to court, police and other records that should be made public under the law.

Some of the good guys:

On the opposite side, we have heard great things about the cleanliness of some Marquette restaurants – and generosity:

For example, we heard great things about clean kitchen and food at the Rice Paddy in Marquette.

We have no connection to the restaurant in any way – in fact its owned by wife of a WLUC TV-6 mainstay anchor (and you know what we’ve said about TV-6 and the rest of the lapdog U.P. Media). So no motive – just what we have heard.

We also think it is really neat that the Marquette Red Lobster immediately freezes its seafood and other goodies – and donates to local food giveaway. That treat means a lot when you have no food, I know it personally. I do have friend that works there, and I know that since they are dealing with seafood – they are super crazy clean.

(Marquette County, MI) – In the past 36, hours, two west Marquette County residents are busted on domestic assault charges, a Gwinn woman on an embezzlement charge, and a Negaunee woman is charged in a fourth degree child abuse case – plus a downstate man is held on a $100,000 contempt of court charges and held without bond in Marquette County on a weapons charge.

fyi – Delta County goes dark and turns soft on DV, like 13 other U.P. Counties – who do not want to admit the crime in their area and thus protect men who commit domestic violence – we believe everyone and especially women have the right to know this information even if their Boss Hogg leaders are asleep at the wheel.
U.P. Breaking News used to provide the detailed arrests in Delta County, but county officials this week stopped revealing charges even in domestic violence cases – because they did not like our editorial accusing them of giving good deals to male abusers. We do not want to miss a DV or assault arrest – so we are now force to print all names – we will be printing all the Delta County arrests later today – a lot of them since Friday.
