Booze, drugs fueled violent weekend in Marquette and Delta counties

From domestic assault to drunken battle with police – to convicted felons  with a gun – and drunken possessing gun charges to exposure

(Upper Peninsula of Michigan) – For those who long for the old quiet days in the Upper Peninsula, this weekend in just two U.P. Counties shows violence mixed with booze and drugs are just a few of the things keeping the police busy.
These are arrests and doesn’t count the numerous overdoses/attempted suicides, threats and poverty related like the poor homeless that are becoming more frequent on our streets during the start of this U.P. Winter.

Two deer hunting brothers were booked into the Delta County Jail on charges involving being convicted felons armed with a gun.

James Boye

60-year-old James Boye and 63-year-old Allan Boye – both of Delta County but have other addresses listed – were busted on the same charges and booked into the Delta County Jail about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.
The two are is charged with possession of a controlled substance/analogues, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of firearms/weapons by a felon. Bond has not been set.

27-yeaJohn Yeager FB Mqt stalking 1r-old John Yeager of Marquette was booked into the Marquette County Jail about 1:30 p.m. today, Sat., Nov. 25, 2017 on several felonies.

Yeager is charged with using a computer to commit a crime, stalking and malicious and threatening use of a telephone.

Bond was not set.

33-year-old Jamie Johnston (address unavailable) was freed from the Marquette County Jail on a $2,500 bond on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 after being arrested Saturday afternoon on a domestic assault charge.

Colin Levasseur33-year-old Colin Levasseur of Skandia, MI was booked into the Marquette County Jail at 8:41 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 and remains jailed tonight on four serious charges after allegedly fighting/struggling with police.
The charges are two counts of attempted resisting and obstructing police officers. One charge resisting charge has no bond and the other lists a $10,000 bond.
He is also charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and resisting/refusing in connection with providing a DNA profiling sample to police (mouth swab usually). Both of those charges each have a $2,500 bond.

Brent Forsyth weapons, ouil 1In Delta County, 27-year-old Brent Forsyth of Menominee, MI was booked into the Delta County Detention Center just after 10:30 a.m. on Sat. Nov. 25, 2017 in an intoxicated weapons case.
Forsyth is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of firearms while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, possession of marijuana and drunken driving (OUIL).
No bond has been set on the weapons charges, however bond for the other two totals $1,000.

45-year-old James Hardwick was booked into the Delta County Jail about 10:30 a.m. Sun., Nov. 26, 2017 on charges of domestic violence ($1,000 bond) and possessive of marijuana ($500 bond). He had not been released on bond by Monday afternoon.

19-year-old Daisy Nelson was booked into Marquette County Jail today, Mon. Nov. 27, 2017 on a charge of domestic violence.

49-year-old Jacqueline Hillis of Marquette was booked into the Marquette jail at 10:30 p.m. Saturday night on a charge of indecent exposure and remains jailed tonight. Just last year, Hillis was sentenced to 30 days in jail for a June 9, 2016 incident of third degree retail fraud third degree (shoplifting).
