  1. Photos would be much more helpful than a generic description. I understand not naming the youth, but a photo would definitely be more helpful for people to identify and report to police. People have a right to safety and if these boys are dangerous, the people have a right to know who they are protecting themselves from. There are a ton of teen boys that fit that description – black clothing and white shoes?! Praying that no one gets hurt out there.

    • I agree. But they will not release photos – do not even comment. Maybe Monday when tribal police chief is present. I pray this kids get found alive and well – and everyone else as well. I have names but can not find photos. Photos would be better than names – plus any kind of info.

  2. Your news article/blog is misrepresenting the truth about the children. There is no proof that either one of the children commited the crimes alleged.

County and state law enforcement should have added both of the children to the national center for missing children and the michigan.gov missing children webpage. Tribal police are not responsible for that task. And it does not matter if they are runaway, abducted, or just flat out missing. They should be posted in these databases regardless of any circumstance.

And a cut off tether doesn’t mean anything. Someone could have forced him to take the tether off or helped him flee. If someone enticed the 11 year old that should still be considered an abduction. Abduction: “(in legal use) the illegal removal of a child from its parents or guardians.” And that child should have had an amber alert. As there is no proof that the child left on his own without any assistance. No note was left and no plan was made. Only a cut off ankle monitor.

neither of the children left the home prepared for cold weather and if people are alleging they are armed and dangerous it is putting them at higher risk for being shot by law enforcement or citizens.

I am very happy someone is publicizing that the children are missing. However, the commenters are correct. Their photos are needed so that if they are seen law enforcement could be notified.
