Charges filed against one suspect in connection with Negaunee stabbing probe

31-year-old Tyler Scott Yelle of 777 Pioneer Mobile Home Park Lot 198 in Marquette, MI has been arrested in connection with the reported double stabbing Sunday night in Negaunee, MI.
Yelle was booked into the Marquette County Jail at 10:38 p.m. Sunday night, Dec. 10, 2017 on two felony charges – Assault and battery and third degree home invasion. Bond was not set.
Yelle is also charged with attempted resisting arrest and obstructing police.
On March 2, 2017, Yelle was sentenced in Marquette County District Court Judge Roger W. Kangas to a jail term for second offense operating while impaired. Yelle was sentenced to 300 days jail with credit for 164 days served plus he was ordered to pay a nearly $1,400 fine.

(Negaunee, MI) – An altercation resulting in a double stabbing with large kitchen knife was reported Sunday night inside an apartment in Negaunee, MI in a chaotic situation that left police with two stabbing victims at different locations.

The double stabbing was reported about 9:22 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017.
Both victims are male.
Two ambulances have been called from U.P. Health System – Ishpeming. The case is being investigated by Negaunee Police with assistance from other agencies including Ishpeming Police Department. Both victims have been rushed to the hospital.
One male victim with a reported stab wound to the left forearm was located in an upstairs apartment at 317 N. Brown Ave. in Negaunee. The other victim and a male friend, called 911 from the Super One Foods a few blocks away. That male victim has a stab wound to the left side of his chest.
A neighbor first called police reporting an argument in an upstairs apartment followed by someone screaming “there is blood everywhere.”
That’s when a female called from the apartment at 317 N. Brown Ave. to report the stabbing.
It is not clear who stabbed who. But police are not searching for a suspect on the loose. It is believed of the four people involved – at least one did the stabbing – and possibly more.
