(Marquette, MI) – The Friday night no-show of rapper Lil Yatchy is causing a furor among Northern Michigan University students and other concertgoers who feel ripped off – after all it was billed as the biggest event on campus for the fall 2017.
Some concertgoers are claiming that it was announced on stage that no refunds would be given. The Lil Yachty rap concert was scheduled for the Berry Events Center in Marquette on Fri., Dec. 8, 2017.
Some concertgoers complaints were getting graphic, rude, obscene and racist – in comments on the NMU Facebook site for the event.
Officials have not officially said why he missed the concert – as rumors posted by concertgoers on the promotion Facebook page included weather, cancelled flights, and eventhat Lil Yatchy rapping somewhere else in town.
It appears officials may have heard the demands for refunds. One posting from organizers Northern Arts and Entertainment states that info on refunds would be announced in the near future:
“I promise I will not be going to another NMU event,” said Aaron Arbour.
