Body of Raleigh Harrington found Sunday in Mackinac County, MI after five-day search

The body of the missing man was found in a wooded area of Mackinac County on Sunday (today), March 25, 2018.

The body of Raleigh Stearns Harrington was found after a five-day massive search. While foul play is not suspected, the disappearance of Harrington remains under investigation.

(St. Ignace, MI) – Searchers are needed this weekend in the ongoing effort to find outdoor enthusiast Raleigh Harrington of St. Ignace, MI.

About 75 civilian volunteers assisted Michigan State Police on Friday as they combed a rugged area between 1-75 and west toward Castle Rock.

Anyone willing to help on Saturday should meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Cedar Hill Lodge. However, any time you can help show up at that location or contact an organizer. Everyone is needed! (Scroll down to see maps)

Cedar Hill Lodge is located at 680 US-2 West in Saint Ignace, MI.

Organizers were thankful for the number of volunteers that turned out Friday – and really hope you will help volunteer this weekend.

It is very important that the public help crack this case, because someone my know his whereabouts. No tip is too small – often small tips lead to bigger information.
25-year-old Raleigh Harrington was last seen on Friday, March 16th in the St. Ignace area – however that morning was in the Petoskey area . He had an apartment in downstate Petoskey and frequented his native St. Ignace area.
Assisting ground parties on Friday, March 23, 2018 in Mackinac County were a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) helicopter and a USCG ice rescue vehicle.

170 pounds approximately
Brown hair
Blue eyes

He may have left a residence in the St. Ignace area riding a gray Giant mountain bike.
If you find a gray Giant mountain bike – please do not touch – so police can process the evidence.
Call 911 immediately if you find the bike, or have any information about this critical missing person’s case.
