Man charged with two sex crime felonies – unrelated arrests in Marquette/Delta counties for child abandonment and drugs

(Marquette, MI) – For the second time in four days, a man has been arrested in Marquette County on charges of sexually assaulting an underage victim.
20-year-old Ian Grant was booked into the Marquette County Jail (MCJ) about 7:30 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018.
Grant is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) and third degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC). He is being held without bond. Third degree CSC involves victims between 13 years of age and under 16 years of age. In addition, if the victim is coerced, helpless and/or is related to the suspect.
No details have been released on this arrest. U.P. Breaking News has not yet confirmed the suspect’s address.

In unrelated cases:
37-year-old Jennifer Rose Halfaday (Cowart) of Wilson, MI was booked into the Delta County Detention Center (DCDC) at about 1:35 p.m. today, Tues., Jan.16, 2018.
A voting member of the Hannahville Indian Community, Halfaday is charged with child abandonment. No details on this case have been released.
Halfaday was released on an unspecified bond just after 5 p.m. tonight.

18-year-old Nevin Wyant of Marquette, MI booked into the MCJ just before 1 a.m. today on two felony drug charges.
A Grand Rapids native, Wyant is a recent Northern Michigan University fashion marketing graduate who states his current address as Coopersville, MI, according to his Facebook page.
Wyant is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of a felony amount of marijuana.
Wyant was released on a $15,000 bond at about 5:30 p.m. today.

Corey Allen Racine
28-year-old Corey Allen Racine of Gwinn, MI booked into the MCJ just before 3 p.m. ET today, Jan. 16, 2018 on a parole violation/inmate detainer.
In July 2016, Racine was sentenced to serve three to 20 years in state prison. The convicted meth dealer and a female co-defendant were arrested by UPSET who staked out a wooded area in Forsyth Township after being tipped that people were making and using meth on an ATV trail. In 2015, Forsyth Township Police were told the trail was used day and night by meth users and makers. Racine was given the option – after one year in prison – to transfer to a program at a prison boot camp.
Racine was paroled in Oct. 2017 – and his parole/probation runs through April 2019. He served just over three years in state prison.

In an unrelated but similar case involving an admitted meth dealer who is also in trouble again:
Juliane Elizabeth Bradbury
35-year-old Juliane Elizabeth Bradbury of Negaunee, MI booked into the MCJ at 1:37 p.m. today, Tues.., Jan. 16, 2018.
Bradbury was booked on a parole violation/inmate detainer. Bradbury has used many aliases, according to state prison records.
In Jan. 2015, Bradbury and a male co-defedent were arrested for distributing meth.
Bradbury was paroled in Sept. 2017 after spending about two and a half years in prison – and she remains on probation until Sept. 2019 – but that will likely change. She has prior home invasion convictions for incidents in 2007 and 2009 – plus an uttering and publishing bad checks conviction in 2003.
