(Marquette, MI) – A Marquette County man has posted bond and is out of the Marquette County Jail on a felony charge of lying to police.
37-year-old Joseph John Manning of Marquette, MI is charged with making a false police report. It is not clear what law enforcement agency arrested Manning.
The details of the alleged incident have not been released.
Manning was lodged in the Marquette County Jail at about 8:20 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 28, 2017 and released on bond late Tuesday morning.
Voting records show Joe Manning’s Marquette address is 427 E Crescent St. Apt. 48.
A Big Bay Native, Manning works for a local car dealership and a roofing company, according to his Facebook page.
Bond is $5,000.
While not uncommon, police rarely charge a person with lying unless it is a very serious matter or an important issue.
