(Gwinn) – For the second time in a week, a large county snowplow has been in a crash – this time hitting a vehicle with a mom and kids in Gwinn causing four minor injuries.
Online, people who know the mom driver stated she was driving a full-sized 4-door truck and turned just in time to take the impact to the front drivers side and instead of a side impact making it worse for her young daughter in the back seat.”
This past weekend, an Alger County Road Commission plow overturned on U.S.-41 south in Skandia Township. Today its a big Marquette County Road Commission snowplow versus a car. The car had two young children aboard – and flipped on its side.
The wreck happened at Mineral Street and Elm Street in Gwinn, MI about 10 a.m. ET this morning, April 4. 2018. The plow broadsided the car. Its unclear which driver was at fault.
Two kids and their mom received minor head injuries and the mom also has neck pain.
The mom is said to be approx. 30-years old, and one of the children mentioned is 10 years old.
Fortunately, the plow diver was apparently wearing a shoulder harness because he has a sore shoulder.
